NJ Arts Collaborative Events

 

May 26th, 2010  SCARS - NJAC Showcase  and Gallery Exhibit, 

NJ Arts Collaborative (NJAC) will host our sixth annual showcase featuring visual and performing artists from around the Garden State.  Entitled SCARS: Striving to Create Art that Heals, Renews, and Strengthens, this year’s event focuses on the restorative power of the arts and will be held at 7:00PM on Wednesday, May 26, at Crossroads Theatre in New Brunswick. 

 

SCARS includes a gallery exhibit with pieces by fine artists and a stage show with performances by professional dancers, singers, actors, and musicians. To view one of the pieces of art that will be exhibited, please click here.

 

Tickets are $20 general admission.  For ticket reservations, call 908-879-8717 or email info@njartscollaborative.org.  Tickets may also be purchased at the door. 

 

To further this year’s mission of the healing power of the arts, NJAC will also be collecting donations for Dress for Success Hudson County’s Career Gear program.  Please bring new or gently used shoes, handbags, men’s ties, shirts, hosiery, makeup, jewelry, and toiletries to the SCARS performance at Crossroads Theatre.   If you would like a tax deduction, please bring the attached receipt for signature with the items you are donating.   Thank you!

 

 

 

Ongoing and Past Events

 

Idols for a Cause,  a singing competition open to contestants in grades 6-12.  This years event was held at North Hunterdon High School.  To learn more about this great event, go to www.idolsforacause.com

 

Bachelor Auction, a fun filled evening where single or non single women can win a  date with a bachelor or win his date package without him! This is a fund raiser for the Butterfly Project.  The event will be held in Basking Ridge, NJ.   If you want to learn more about this great event, click here.  

 

Afternoon Tea in the Company of Remarkable Women , an

original compilation of song, dance, readings commemorating famous women.
